Our curtain hardware

Curtain Tracks: Styles And Colours

Curtain tracks offer a sleek and minimalist solution for hanging curtains. Usually made of heavy duty aluminium, these tracks come in various colours, including white, black, and grey, to complement any interior design. If you choose a colour that matches your wall it will blend in and when the curtains are closed they cover the track. It is also possible to motorise curtain tracks

Curtain Rods: Styles And Finishes

Curtain rods serve as both functional hardware and decorative elements. They are available in a wide range of styles, from traditional to modern, and come in various finishes such as metallics, wood stains, and clear. Curtain rod ends, also known as finials, come in a variety of styles—from classic round and ornate designs to sleek modern caps. Generally a curtain sits below a rod so the rod is visible when the curtain is either open or closed

Positioning of curtain hardware

Proper positioning of curtain rods or tracks can enhance the visuals in a room e.g. creating the illusion of higher ceilings. For standard ceilings, it's advisable to install the curtain rod on brackets approximately 10 to 15 centimetres above the window frame. This placement draws the eye upward, making the room appear taller and more spacious. If your ceilings are higher, consider positioning the rod midway between the window frame and the ceiling or architrave to maintain balance and proportion.
We need to allow for enough track either side of the window frame to ensure that the curtains can be fully drawn open and stacked away off the window, allowing maximum natural light into the space and creating a more expansive feel.

Other considerations are having a curtain S track which is a ceiling mounted track system, or whether you want a double curtain track which is two parallel tracks allowing layering e.g. curtains on one track and sheer/voile curtains on the other track.
